SS-T6.6-9: Shape and Space - Transformations: 2D Shape
SS-T6.8: I can Identify and plot points in the first quadrant of a Cartesian plane, using whole number ordered pairs.
X Axis: Horizontal reference line on a Cartesian Plane, the first number in a set of coordinates.
y Axis: Vertical reference line on a Cartesian Plane, the second number in a set of coordinates.
Cartesian Coordinates: coordinates that mark a point on a graph. The coordinates are always (x,y). This is indicated by a pair of numbers in parenthesis, separated by a comma ex: (3,5)
Translation: to move a shape without rotating or flipping it.
Reflection: is a transformation in which an object is flipped across a line of reflections. A Reflection requires a line of reflection. The line of reflection can be the x-axis, the y-axis or any other line.
